We require only half a cup of ashes or hair to create a memorial diamond, but even smaller amounts can be sufficient. You can also combine other carbon sources, like cotton clothing, dried flowers, or written letters. If you're unsure about the amount, feel free to send what you have, and we will measure it to confirm if it’s enough.
How long does the ashes-to-diamond process take?
How long does the ashes-to-diamond process take?
Turning ashes or hair into a colorless, blue, yellow, or black diamond can take up to 6 months. If a jewelry setting or IGI certification is requested, it can add an extra month.
For pink, red, and green diamonds, the process takes longer—6 to 12 months—as they require an additional coloring process.
